Who we are
WOVEN is founded by artist Thijs Biersteker and business director Sophie de Krom.
At Woven, science, art, and culture work together to make complex environmental issues accessible, understandable, and personal, ensuring that science reaches both policymakers and the general public.
At WOVEN, we have the joy of working with leading scientists to turn their work into artistic experiences that help people feel the facts. Our works are exhibited at museums and venues around the world, including the Fondation Cartier, Barbican Centre, Montreux Jazz, and the World Economic Forum. We collaborate with organisations such as UNESCO, the WHO, the University of Zurich, LVMH, and Polestar.
All our artworks are crafted in our studio in Zaandam (12 min from Amsterdam) by a small team of skilled, artistically driven, and environmentally committed people.
